We are still very active across the West Midlands (particulalrly Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the Black Country). It is our ‘homeland’, and we still have access to funding to support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. It is nice not having to drive too far (particularly as we had a cambelt go on a vehicle this week!). Birmingham yesterday, north Wales last night, Much Wenlock today (Olympic mascot and all!), Wolverhampton and Kidderminster tomorrow. I’m glad I can send the auditors out and sip ice cold chardonnay on the sun terrace of our office! Unfortunately this is not true, I’m busy revising our ISO 17021 manuals. We audit clients against ISO 9001, 14001 etc., and in turn we get audited against ISO 17021 ‘Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems’ and ‘Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing (ISO 19011:2002). These basically provide us with management systems requirements for what we do, and terms of reference for the entire audit process. What fun!!
