Both ISO 14001 and 9001 certification are popular at the moment in Wolverhampton, and across the West Midlands. This is of course partly due to the funding we can source to support small and medium sized companies, but is largely driven by two major factors. The first, perhaps surprisingly, is the number of start-ups. There are a wide range of start ups we are auditing – IT design ad support companies, web-designers and architects in Wolverhampton, a new R&D company in Telford, and B2B distributors in Dudley. Secondly, the need to demonstrate environmental and quality systems deployment for public sector tendering and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires is pushing companies in the direction of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
